Process Service

Getting documents served correctly and on time is critical to keeping a case moving. Stillinger Investigations provides licensed, statewide process service across all 46 South Carolina counties — including skip tracing for evasive and hard-to-locate subjects. Every service is documented with a court-acceptable affidavit.

What you get

Every county. Every defendant. Every time.

We serve civil summons, subpoenas, divorce filings, custody petitions, restraining orders, eviction notices, and corporate documents across South Carolina. Some subjects are straightforward. Others require locating first. Either way, we document every attempt and provide a court-acceptable affidavit on successful service.

Standard Process Service

Statewide service of process across all 46 SC counties. $85/hour plus $0.55/mile. Court-acceptable affidavit provided for every successful service.

Rush & Same-Day Service

Time-sensitive matters handled same day across the state. Available for urgent filings, restraining orders, and court deadlines.

Evasive & Hard-to-Locate Subjects

Skip tracing included for subjects who are avoiding service. We use database research, surveillance, and field investigation to locate them.

Divorce & Family Court Documents

Divorce filings, custody petitions, support modifications, and restraining orders served discreetly and professionally.

Corporate & Registered Agent Service

Civil complaints, subpoenas, and corporate notices served to registered agents at their SC address.

Nationwide Coordination

For out-of-state defendants, we coordinate service through our partner network outside South Carolina.

How it works

A clear path from first call to completed service.

Submit Your Documents

Tell us what needs to be served, where, and by when. We’ll confirm the scope, timeline, and cost before anything begins.

Subject Location

For straightforward services with a known address, we proceed immediately. For evasive or hard-to-locate subjects, skip tracing begins before field work.

Service Attempt

Our licensed investigators make service attempts in accordance with SC Code of Civil Procedure. Every attempt is documented with timestamps and notes.

Affidavit & Reporting

On successful service, you receive a court-acceptable affidavit of service. For difficult subjects, you receive a full documented record of all attempts.

Secure Payment Portal

For straightforward services with a known address, we typically complete service within 24 to 48 hours. Same-day rush is available statewide. Evasive subjects take longer — we keep you updated throughout and provide documentation of every attempt regardless of outcome.
